Product description

These wicks are cut to a length of 5 cm and do not have a metal flipper, so they are ideal for loose bead candles.

Wedo is the world's leading manufacturer of candle wicks and the Stabilo wick series (formerly known as CD) is a favourite amongst professional wicks. The wicks, which are considered among the best on the market, are used by some of the largest candle makers in Europe and the USA.

Stabilo cotton wicks are used in candles with high fragrance content, paraffin, vegetable or beeswax. They are known for their excellent burn stability, which ensures even and long-lasting burning without excessive smoke.

These wicks are chopped to a length of 120mm, are waxed and include a 15mm metal holder. The wick is thus ready to be inserted directly into the candle container. These flat braided wicks are coreless, with a special paper fibre woven around them to provide extra strength.

Wick length: 5 cm
Material: pure cotton with brown paper fibres

Finish: paraffin

To choose the right wick , it is important to know the diameter of the candle container. If the size is small, the candle will not burn to the edge and will form a tunnel. If you use a wick that is too thick, the wax will melt too much and the whole candle will melt instead of melting gradually and evenly.

Table of wick sizes and recommended container diameter:

Stabilo 2 - <38 mm

Stabilo 4 - 39-40 mm

Please note: Remember that choosing the right type and size of wicks depends on many factors such as the type of wax used, the amount of fragrance added, the size and material of the container, etc. It is therefore essential that you test the wick properly before you start the final candle making process.
