Vitamin C brings great benefits to the skin, nourishing it, serving as an antioxidant, helping to reduce the signs of skin aging and dark spots.

The disadvantage of classic vitamin C, or pure ascorbic acid, is its low stability in aqueous environments; this vitamin is easily subject to oxidation, which is only partially slowed down by the addition of vitamin E or other antioxidants.

This is why stabilized vitamin C provides an alternative way to add vitamin C to your products and keep it active for longer. This stabilized vitamin C has a high resistance to both heat and oxidation. It is lipophilic, meaning that it dissolves in oils or oil esters at room temperature. It is a colourless liquid that combines well with oils even in higher concentrations.

It is not necessary to heat the products for vitamin C incorporation, however, if necessary, vitamin C can handle short thermal heating, avoid very high temperatures and prolonged exposure to heat.

Vitamin C is sensitive to the presence of metals, therefore it is advisable to add chelators and vitamin E simultaneously to the products to improve the properties, it is not recommended to combine with clays.

This is a vegan vitamin C, synthetically prepared from 15% natural origin.

Dosage 0.1-0.2% as an antioxidant (to protect products), 0.1-1% as an active ingredient, 5-20% in serums with a high proportion of active ingredients.
