Sucrose Stearate (Sucrose Stearate) is a cosmetic raw material used as an O/W emulsifier (oil-in-water emulsion) and stabilizer in skin care and personal care products.
It is formed by the esterification of sucrose (table sugar) with stearic acid, a saturated fatty acid derived from plant sources.
Sucrose Stearate helps to blend oil- and water-based ingredients, improving the texture and stability of formulations such as creams, lotions and emulsions. It has excellent emollient properties, giving the skin a smooth and luxurious feel.
Itsoftens, smoothes and moisturises the skin. When applied to the skin, sucrose stearate fills small spaces between cells and improves skin texture. This is especially beneficial for dry skin, where these spaces are usually larger than in other skin types. Itis also suitable for products intended for sensitive skin.
In addition, this ingredient improves the spreadability and absorption of cosmetic products, ensuring a pleasant application and contributing to the overall quality and efficacy of cosmetic formulations.
It is an ideal emulsifier/co-emulsifier for body and skin care products, products designed to protect the skin after sun exposure and for children's products.

The raw material is water soluble and is recommended to be incorporated into the aqueous phase. It can also be incorporated into the oil phase of the product.
