Rice wax is obtained from rice bran.

It is sold as flakes or balls and is almost odourless. It is therefore a plant-based, vegan substitute for beeswax, but is also used as a substitute for carnauba and candelilla wax.

In cosmetics, it has the function of a thickening agent and has a very beneficial effect on the condition of the skin - it protects it from free radicals. It can be used in lip balms, skin creams, make-up or conditioners (it helps to smooth the hair - closing the hair structure). Rice wax is also used in the food industry.

Safety rating according to EWG: 1-3.
