Polyaquol 2W is an emulsifier that creates a very smooth and non-greasy feeling on the skin.

This emulsifier is a completely natural product derived from various plant oils, with no palm oil base, making it suitable for vegan formulations. It is certified by Ecocert and COSMOS.

Polyaquol 2W and its benefits

It is clinically proven that it prevents damage to the skin barrier caused by UV radiation and simultaneously regenerates cells damaged by UV radiation. It is also, like Neocare P3R, very versatile, well-combinable, and therefore easy to use. It can be added to both the oil phase and the water phase, depending on the consistency you want to achieve. The viscosity is higher when Polyaquol 2W is added to the oil phase.

It is an emulsifier that works best in the hot phase (from 75 to 82 °C), when you can achieve its complete homogenization. If you have a raw material in your formulation that needs to be heated to a higher temperature, the temperature must be reduced to the mentioned degrees before adding Polyaquol 2W (when mixing, it is recommended to add the oil phase to the water phase, which is why it is an O/W emulsifier).

Polyaquol is self-emulsifying and creates a stable gel in water. This means you can use it, for example, for making creamy cleansing products without the oil phase (this property is also present in our Olivem 1000). Despite being very light, this emulsifier is truly impressive, as it can create a wide range of viscosity profiles – from light liquids to thick creamy consistency. This characteristic makes it ideal for broad use in natural cosmetics.

It is even very tolerant to electrolytes (such as table salt), which is quite unusual for O/W emulsions, which typically break down after adding salt. It is definitely worth trying this product and experimenting in the world of emulsifiers.
