Calendula extract is made from Calendula officinalis flowers macerated in propylene glycol. Thanks to this form of extraction, important active substances soluble in both water and alcohol, such as flavonoids, triterpenoids and saponins, are preserved.

Calendula extract has strong anti-inflammatory effects that help to relieve skin irritation and redness. It has a soothing effect and is therefore suitable for sensitive or reactive skin. Its healing properties promote skin repair for minor injuries, abrasions, burns or rashes. Thanks to its content of naturally occurring antimicrobial compounds, it helps protect the skin from bacterial and fungal infection.
It also promotes skin regeneration, contributing to faster healing and improved appearance.

This extract is ideal for use in a variety of cosmetic and dermatological products designed to treat sensitive, damaged or irritated skin. It can be used in skin creams, moisturizing lotions or gels to help relieve irritation and improve skin comfort. It is suitable for use in after-sun gels or after-shave products where it relieves redness and burning. It also works well in regenerating ointments, lip balms or creams for chapped hands and heels. It can be added to shampoos and conditioners for sensitive scalps where it soothes itching and redness.

Recommended dosage. It is ideally added to the aqueous phase during the preparation of emulsions or gels.
