Product description

Glycolic acid 70% is intended for professional chemical peeling. It is a highly concentrated substance that must be diluted before use on the skin.
ATTENTION! Glycolic acid is used on the skin with a concentration of ideally 5%, maximum 10%.

It is referred to as an acid because it has a pH lower than 7, namely 1.5. Chemical peeling is the removal of the layer of old cells (stratum corneum) on the skin, not by mechanical stimulation as in conventional peeling, but by acids.

Glycolic acid comes from the AHA family of acids and is essentially an exfoliant. It works by dissolving the sebum on the surface of the skin, which binds dead skin cells to the skin. Apart from brightening your skin beautifully, it will also lower the pH of your skin, which helps fight acne. By removing the dead cells, it will kick-start the production of new ones. It also increases the absorption of cosmetics into the skin and removes pigment spots.

Within 12 hours after the treatment, there may be a slight redness of the skin, there may be a feeling of tightness or a slight burning sensation.

HOW TO DILUTE GLYCOLIC ACID?
Glycolic acid is diluted using distilled water. Always add the acid to the water, not the other way around.

3% glycolic acid
0.43 g 70% acid + 9.57 g water = 10 g

(a 10 ml packet of 70% glycolic acid is made into a 3% solution by mixing it with 232 ml of water)

5% glycolic acid
0.7 g 70% acid + 9.3 g water = 10 g

(from a 10 ml pack of 70% glycolic acid, make a 5% solution by mixing it with 142 ml of water)

10% glycolic acid
1.4 g 70% acid + 8.6 g water = 10 g

(a 10 ml pack of 70% glycolic acid is made into a 10% solution by mixing it with 71 ml of water)

If you want to mix a different concentration, follow the formula:

X = (desired concentration 0.5 for 50% x amount you want to mix in g or ml)/original concentration 0.7 for 70%

To make 100 g of 50% concentration from 70% glycolic acid, the formula will look like this:

X=(0.5x100)/0.7

X=71,429

So to get 100 g of 50% solution you will need 71.429 g of 70% glycolic acid and 28.57 g of water.

For an accurate result, we recommend weighing the raw materials rather than measuring them.
