This will narrow down the offer to packaging that will better correspond to your formula and the required type of dosing.

The dropper can be reused, including for new batches of the product, provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before each refilling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the closure and then disinfecting it with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and ensure the stability of the new formulation.

The dropper is most suitable for low- to medium-viscosity liquids, such as facial and body oils, oil serums, liquid active solutions, aromatherapeutic blends or tinctures. With very thick formulations, the flow may be slowed; therefore we recommend testing the behaviour of the specific formula in combination with the selected bottle and this dropper before final filling.

Before placing the product on the market, it is advisable to perform your own compatibility test. Fill the bottle with the dropper with your formula, check that the closure is tightened, and leave the packaging standing upright as well as lying on its side for the agreed time. Monitor any leakage of the product through the thread or dropper part and verify whether the dropper doses a stable, repeatable amount. Also take into account changes in viscosity at different temperatures, which can affect the behaviour of the product during dosing.

Before reusing the dropper, it is appropriate first to mechanically remove residues of the original product, then clean it with a suitable cleaning agent according to the nature of the formulation (for example a mild detergent) and rinse thoroughly. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the dropper, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and only then filling it again with the product. This will support the safety and stability of the final cosmetics or extracts.

If you decide not to use the dropper further, we recommend that, after emptying and basic cleaning, you place it in sorted waste according to the material indicated in the product parameters. If you are unsure about local rules, follow the recommendations of your local recycling centre or municipal services so that the packaging is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner and in accordance with applicable regulations.
