Essences obtained by CO2 extraction are some of the purest essences with a higher proportion of individual chemical components than those found in essential oils obtained by steam distillation, as they do not contain residual solvents, inorganic salts, heavy metals or bacteria capable of reproduction. Their use is the same as for essential oils, but in a much smaller proportion, as CO2 extract is stronger, of higher quality and has a significantly longer shelf life. In fact, the plant extracts do not undergo thermal degradation in this extraction process, as is the case in the steam distillation process.

Depending on the pressure, CO2 extraction makes it possible to create two types of extracts, the so-called Selects and Totals.

CO₂-se (Selective) extracts are a type of CO₂ extract in which the extraction conditions (pressure and temperature) are optimized to selectively extract certain components from the plant material while leaving the others. This method allows precise targeting of the desired bioactive compounds while minimizing unwanted substances such as waxes, chlorophyll or heavy lipids.

Consumption: 19-21 kg cocoa butter per 1 kg CO2 extract

Ingredients: 100% Cocoa CO2 extract

Cocoa CO2 extract has a beautiful distinctive cocoa aroma.

The extract is composed of fats, mainly palmitic, stearic and oleic acids. Sensorially, esters, pyrazines and aldehydes are present. The extract contains caffeine, traces of theophylline and theobromine.

Uses:
Cocoa extract is rich in antioxidants such as flavonoids and polyphenols, which help protect the skin from oxidative stress and UV damage. It also contains vitamins and minerals that help nourish and hydrate the skin, promoting soft and supple skin.

All ingredients supplied are cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use.
