Product description

Frankincense essential oil, or also Frankincense or Boswelia carterii, is extracted from the white milky sap of the frankincense tree. After the sap drops are allowed to dry over a period of several days, they are scraped off to make the essential oil.
The frankincense tree, or Boswelia carterii tree, is native to areas of Africa and the southern Arabian Peninsula. Oman is the best known source of frankincense.
This essential oil has a distinctive aroma - woody, earthy and spicy with fruity undertones. It has been used since the Middle Ages, when it was burnt in sacred places and during religious rituals.

In aromatherapy it is used to promote good breathing and cleanse the respiratory tract. Its scent is also sedative and mood-enhancing, reducing symptoms of anxiety and stress while improving memory and concentration.

Frankincense oil has anti-inflammatory properties, so it is excellent in preparations for red, sensitive and damaged skin. It helps to disinfect and tighten pores, promoting faster healing of wounds and scars. It also promotes the growth of new skin cells and stimulates blood circulation.

All ingredients supplied are cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. Please use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils or also essential oils are natural aromatic substances that come from different parts of plants - stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and also have medicinal and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on a physical, emotional or mental level.

Their chemical composition is quite complicated. Essential oils are most often obtained from plants by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are applied directly to the skin only after dilution with carrier plant oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which can be applied directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your beauty products, we do not recommend consuming any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat soluble, so if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW DO I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Cosmetic and soap making - the amount of essential oil needed depends on the specific recipe and the quantity being made.
Inhalation, steaming - drip a few drops of essential oil into an aromatherapy bottle, diffuser, or container of hot water.
Bath - mix drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dcl of milk or in a spoonful of honey, pour this mixture into the bath. The essential oils themselves are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage - add a few drops of essential oil to cold pressed vegetable oil (approx 50 ml) and mix well. Pleasant massage.
Sauna - your choice of conifer, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The amount of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.

Essential oils are also popularly used in skin care, topical compresses, hair masks, oral care...
