For scenting your home or other spaces, a diffuser base with reed sticks is suitable.

A diffuser base serves as a carrier oil that helps release the fragrance of your chosen aromatic oils when used with a diffuser and reed sticks. The diffuser base is used to combine with essential and fragrance oils, allowing the aromatic components to rise up the reed stick and evaporate easily. Adding a diffuser base helps enhance the resulting scent.

In most cases, the diffuser base is used in a ratio of 75% to 50% diffuser oil and 25% to 50% fragrance or essential oil. You can adjust the dosage according to the desired scent intensity or the viscosity of the oils. When using highly aromatic or viscous oils, you can use up to 75% diffuser base as a base and the remainder will be the fragrance oil. If you encounter difficulty with highly viscous fragrance oils rising up the reed stick, you can replace them with less viscous oils or increase the proportion of the diffuser base.

When using a diffuser with reed sticks, do not combine fragrance oils with DPG (dipropylene glycol). DPG can hinder the rising of the fragrance up the reed stick and prevent the oil from evaporating properly.
