Burnt food residues can be removed from the microwave by placing a bowl with an equal mixture of water and vinegar and briefly running the microwave. Similarly, you can clean the dishwasher or washing machine by running them empty while pouring the same equal mixture of water and vinegar into the detergent compartment.
